Don Gnocchi rehabilitation centre inaugurated in Florence

On October 22nd, the Don Gnocchi rehabilitation centre in Florence has been inaugurated. The importance of this facility for the Italian city has been emphasized by the illustrious attendance, which featured the president of the Tuscany region, the mayor of Florence and the arch bishop. The centre encompasses 24,000 square meters, 186 beds, 1,800 square meters of gyms, 17 diagnostic rooms and an area for clinical research. Sanika contributed to the realisation of this facility with the supply of 101 saniclass bathroom pods. All prefabricated bathrooms correspond to the Italian ministerial decree 236/89, which promotes the removal of architectural obstacles. By this means, the project planning considered the specific needs of people with disabilities, but also for the elderly or people with reduced mobility, from the very beginning.
